There are four immediate family members. A mother, father, and two children (one boy and one girl). Spouses are chosen by the government and children are placed accordingly.
The Giver
The child comes when a family unit receives there childs number. The family unit can only have one male, one female as there spouses. The community does not allow adults to choose their "mates".
