What special characterisitcs do they have that memories dont have in the real world? PLEASE ADD AS MUCH AS DETAIL AS YOU WANT... ;)

The memories the Giver tranfers to Jonas include feelings and sensation. During transmission Jonas can hear, touch, and smell the memories he's given. All of his senses are alive to the experiences and memories being transmitted, he is mentally transported to the time, place and experience addressed. We have memories, but we cannot evoke or pass on their sensations to the people around us.
