Would you say that the community in the giver is dystopian or utopian? What are 5 reasons for each??

Dystopian!

- Elderly and "abnormal children" kicked out of community.

-People have no meaningful emotions. The Giver takes them all

- People have little freedom of choice (their jobs are decided for them)

- Birthmothers have their babies taken away from them and given to "suitable couples".
