How did Jeannette's parents meet?

Father tells stories about how he met mother. Father claims that he was in the air force and she was on leave from the USO to see her parents. He and his friends were at a lake summoning up the courage to dive in. Jeanette's father says that mother drove up with a friend looking like a "movie star" and dove right in. He was enamored with her at first sight and vowed he would marry her.
