The Glass Castle
What Are Some Key Symbols in The Glass Castle Besides the Joshua Tree and Fire?
Hey everyone,
I’m working on a project based on The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, and I’m exploring the symbols from the book. I’ve already considered the Joshua tree and fire (as they’re pretty prominent), but I’m curious about other symbols you think are significant.
For example, objects, moments, or themes that represent the family’s struggles, resilience, or broken promises—something tied deeply to the text but not as commonly discussed.
What symbols stood out to you, and how did you interpret their meaning?
Thanks in advance for your insights!
