Religion was significant to some members of the Walls family but not all. Dad didn't believe in God; Mom was a practicing Catholic. On the days Mrs. Walls required her husband to accompany the family to church, he would often make a scene...... challenging the priest, and eventually the ushers would ask the family to leave.
