Who were your favorite two characters and show evidence as to why you chose the two characters as your favorite
Jeanette is of course my favorite character. I love that she was able to love so deeply that it enabled her to have faith long after she should have lost it. This ability was a testament to her innate optimism, a trait sorely lacking today.
Grandma Smith- I wish the children had been left with Grandma Smith and had the ability to grow up in a real home. Their time in her home was one of stillness and ease, and by the way the children embraced that time, we can see how much good it did them.
