The Grapes of Wrath
Explain Casy's insistence on helping Ma to salt the pork?
.
.
The traditional structure of the farm family is breaking down. Men no longer have the responsibility of farm work so they feel hopeless. Men now need to share domestic duties that were once the domain of women.
