Chapter Thirteen.
The attendant has painted his pumps in the hopes that his station will be more attractive to more monied customers (they pass his station by for the newer stations in town). He hopes that by copying their yellow-paint he can attract customers actually able to PAY him....... as most of the migrants are forced to beg for their gas.
