    Why has Gatsby stopped holding his parties?

    Presumably, there was no reason for his parties beyond impressing Daisy and attracting her attention. Now that they've been reunited, he no longer needs to host lavish parties. Instead, he has Daisy come over each afternoon. He has once again turned his life upside down to make her a part of it, by firing his house staff to make sure that no one gossips about her coming over.

    Daisy is dangerously indiscreet about seeing Gatsby and speaking to him intimately in front of other people. Perhaps she is hoping that Tom will realize...
