describe the buchanans?

The Buchanans came from old money. Both Daisy and Tom were a good example of the superficial entitled rich. Daisy seemed so vapid, it was difficult to know if she had anything really going on besides her obsession with money. Tom had an elitist entitled stench to him that could be smelled all the way to West Egg. Check out this quote from the book about Tom:

"He had changed since his new haven years. now he was a sturdy, straw haired man of thirty with a rather hard mouth and a supercilious manner. two shining, arrogant eyes had established dominance over his face and gave him the appearance of always leaning aggressively forward. not even the effeminate swank of his riding clothes could hide the enormous power of that body...it was a body capable OS enormous leverage-----a cruel body."
