From the title alone, what are your thoughts about the novel's themes and plot?

I remember the first time I was assigned the novel, The Great Gatsby. From the title, I was sure the novel was going to be about a magician, a stunt man, or an actor. Although, the novel wasn't exactly what I expected, Gatsby was all of these things.... which is significant in itself.
