All George Wilson wanted was to get married to a good woman, settle down, and own his own business. Unfortunately, his hard work and willingness to commit don't work out the way he wanted them to. The woman wants more, and the business isn't doing too well. None-the-less, he does his part to try and make it all come true...... unfortunately the dream dies with the death of his wife. Then he throws his won life away...... you might say that george symbolizes the death of the American Dream.
