chapter 7
chapter 7
Daisy tells Tom he’s "revolting". Gatsby desperately wants to hear her reject Tom. It would be like all his Christmases at once! Gatsby spazzes out and insists that Daisy is going to leave Tom. After some more hateful language, she does get around to saying she doesn't love him.
Daisy can't say she never loved him because apparently she did that one time when he carried her over all those puddles as to not ruin her favorite pair of shoes. Isn't that sweet?
