Is daisy capable of measuring up to gatesby's expectation or her? Explain why or why not.

No one is capable of meeting the expectations that Gatsby has for Daisy. She is supposed to be able to erase her experience and return to loving Gatsby as she did five years ago when they met when he was in the army. "Can't repeat the past? Why, of course you can!" he tells Nick. Or as Nick says

"Almost five years! There must have been moments even that afternoon when Daisy tumbled short of his dreams—not through her own fault, but because of the colossal vitality of his illusion. It had gone beyond her, beyond everything. He had thrown himself into it with a creative passion, adding to it all the time, decking it out with every bright feather that drifted his way. No amount of fire or freshness can challenge what a man will store up in his ghostly heart."

On the other hand, it's not necessary that she fulfill his dreams of her. Love isn't constructed that way. Gatsby, like everyone in love, doesn't fall in love with the actual person but his image of her, his projection of her. She can't measure up, but it doesn't matter: she does not have to.
