The "party" Gatsby throws at the end of chapter eight shows how people truly feel about him. Based on attendance to his last big gig, how do people feel about jay gatsby?

I don't recall a party thrown by Gatsby in chapter 8. Did you mean his funeral in chapter 9?

on my paper it says chapter 8.

I took a look at the chapter again. Gatsby gets shot swimming in his pool and there is some background information on Daisy and Gatsby but I don't see a party unless I'm totally missing something.

yeah I couldn't find anything about a party in that chapter, too. maybe it's just a mistake on my paper and it's supposed to be about the funeral. I am going to ask my teacher about that on monday then. Thank you :)
