What does Gatsby do when Daisy arrives at Nick's home in The Great Gatsby?
in chapter 5-6
in chapter 5-6
When Daisy arrived, Gatsby ran outside and around to the front door to make an entrance.... to make it seem as if she were there first.
She turned her head as there was a light, dignified knocking at the front door. I went out and opened it. Gatsby, pale as death, with his hands plunged like weights in his coat pockets, was standing in a puddle of water glaring tragically into my eyes.
The Great Gatsby
Gatsby is very nervous at first, and he hid from Daisy for a little. But when he was left alone with Daisy, he changes completely, and he becomes much less nervous, and Gatsby takes Daisy and Nick to his mansion.
