What more have we learned about Nick in chapter 2? Does he act like the people he hangs out with?

Nick gets to know many of the main and peripheral characters in chapter 2.Much of what Nick encounters is through various alcohol filled parties. Nick does seem more objective and down to earth than the other characters. He seems like a reliable narrator. We however get a rather judgmental view of the Buchanans, Jordan and the various other people of East Egg. Nick still maintains an otherness amidst the other characters which continues to set him apart.
