What more have you learned about Nick in this chapter?Is he similar or different than the people he spends his time with?

He's very different than the people he spends time with, but I think you already know that. In this chapter we learn that he doesn't hold his liquor well, and that he is capable of objectivity. The Nick we met in the first chapter was quick to pass judgment; in Chapter 2 he sits back and takes the part of observer.
