Why does gatsby show daisy all of his shirts? How does daisy react? Why?

There was a time she wouldn't marry Gatsby because he didn't own the types of shirts he now shows her...... she sobs because they are such fine examples of lavish excess. Although Gatsby's actions are seen as vulgar, Daisy is moved to tears at his display of wealth.
