What can’t Offred bear when she’s shown the picture of her daughter?

Initially Offred feels relief and joy about seeing her daughter: She considers her daughter as her"treasure". She is relieved her daughter is alive but t her relief turns to anxiety when she considers daughter is someone else's child. Offred is angry that society has been able to fool her daughter into forgetting her real birth mother.
