how was the company recieved in Laketown?

The people of the town rejoice at their arrival. They have all heard the stories of

the gold that had flowed down from the river when the KIng under the Mountain ruled the land and before the tyranny of Smaug. Bilbo, the dwarves and the company are treated like saviours and given much rest and food.
