What changes of setting occur in the chapter? How do they affect the mood?

The chapter begins with the Bilbo and the dwarves waiting to enter the mountain. The mood is tentative and anxious. After they enter the cave, they find that Smaug isn't there, and the treasure is theirs for the taking. The mood improves greatly and becomes a joyous celebration.
