What is the characteristic shape Murphy and his fellow scientists notice about the virus?
part 1, section 7
part 1, section 7
The characteristic shape Murphy noticed was called the shepherd's crook.
They saw snakes, pigtails, branchy, forked things that looked like the letter Y, and they noticed squiggles like a small g, and bends like the letter U, and loopy 6s. They also noticed a classic shape, which they began calling the shepherd’s crook. Other Ebola experts have taken to calling this loop the eyebolt, after a bolt of the same name that can be found in a hardware store.Preston, Richard (2012-03-14).
