The author's purpose in writing this book was to broaden his own understanding of these contagious viruses and to inform the reader. He is not writing for the scientific world, but rather warning those of us who unaware of the threats these viruses pose to the public.

I personally agree that much of the information he uses is helpful. The book is definitely a combination of facts.... yes, it's fiction, but the factual information used by the author has come from his own research. Is his research accurate? I don't know....
