what's evidence that can describe Dr. John Watson as modest.

please give evidence to support that he is modest in the book. please put the chapter as well as the evidnece.

Although Watson helps Holmes solve problems, he considers himself to be less than Holmes and is modest about his own traits,

I was proud, too, to think that I had so far mastered his system as to apply it in a way which earned his approval.
