What are examples, before the hunger games, of Katniss being "cold"?

Katniss can be seen as being cold towards President Snow and the Gamemaker. This is understandable considering what they do to children in the districts. Katniss is also confused about her love interests. She has feelings for both Peta and Gail. Sometimes she sounds cold to both of them in the novel because she is trying to sort out her own feelings as well as stay alive during the games.
