What can you infer about Henrietta's life and personality after reviewing her medical history?

From the first chapter, we can infer that Henrietta had lived a hard life, and had spent little time at the doctor (particularly follow-ups), possibly because of a lack of funds. Henrietta had married young, but we can infer that either she or her husband had intercourse outside of marriage because of the venereal diseases she had contracted (syphilis/ gonorrhea). This section also confirms that Henrietta did not seek medical treatment unless syptoms were problamatic (bleeding/pain).
