Why did Gwendolen forgive Jack's deception about having a brother?
During all the play, Gwendolen knows about Jack like Ernest. But afte having a conversation with Cecily, Jack's ward, she realizes that Ernest doesn't exist. Jack pretends to be Ernest and really, he is an imaginary character. But Jack loves to much Gwendolen, so he decides to be christened as Ernest, because Gwendolen's dream is to have a husband called Ernest. So, Jack tells about the christening to Gwendolen, as a consequence of that, she forgives Jack's deception about having a brother. Although finally he isn't christened. Maybe, she also forgives him because at the end of the story she realizes that Jack's real name always has been Ernest.
I am not sure about my answer. Can it be a possible answer?
