why did Sek fascinate his grandmother and refer to her as his spiritual playmate?

Grandmother is strongly superstitious and likes for things to run in a mannerly fashion in her home. Throughout the novel, Poh- Poh portrays various characteristics, such as wisdom and strength. Sekky adores his Grandmama; she is his “spiritual playmate.” He suffers from a sickness that does not allow him to attend school. On the bright side, he gets to spend time with his grandmother and learn more about Chinese traditions.Grandmother is good for the soul and the spirit.
