In the story "the joy luck club" What part of San Francisco and Oakland did these immigrants settle into? Why?

These areas are both described as Chinatowns. The Chinese immigrants moved into the sections where they felt most at home and were able to communicate and live in a culture as close to the one they'd left as possible.
