How would Onas outcome have been affected if the family had more money?

Madame Haupt comes down the ladder of the attic. She looks like “one of the workers on the killing-beds. If Jurgis had money, he would have been able to afford a proper doctor in a sterilized hospital. Both Ona and the baby would have probably survived.
