Chapter begins at the end of the book. Amir and Sohrab are flying kites in a San Fransisco park. Hosseini personifies the two kites with love and friendship,
They danced high above the trees on the west end of the park, over the windmills, floating side by side like a pair of eyes looking down on San Francisco, the city I now call home.
There is a sense of place and a sense of finality after a long torturous journey. There is finally a feeling of home.
