Amir tended to think and brood. He was sensitive and quite emotionally literate. These were not necessarily "bad" or "good" qualities, they simply made up his personality. If anything Amir despised what he perceived to be a sense of cowardliness in himself that fateful day when his friend and brother, Hassan, was raped.
