Why did Amir frame Hassan for theft?

Amir set Hassan up for one simple reason.... he was jealous of Hassan's relationship with Baba. Baba paid a lot of attention to Hassan, and Amir didn't like it. Amir was also carrying a lot of guilt for what happened to Hassan in the alley..... he simply wanted him gone.
