Why do you think the general forbids jamila to sing and why do you think she's fond of amir?

Before their marriage, Jamila was a professional singer in Kabul. The General forbid her to perform in public after their marriage because it was considered a second class job.

Jamila is fond of Amir because she appreciates his style and most of all his manners..... she also loves him because he loves her daughter.
