Why does Amir constantly test Hassan's loyalty?

Amir has a lot of issues with Hassan, particularly his jealousy over Hassan's relationship with Baba. Jealousy and inner conflict lead Amir to give Hassan a lot of bad breaks, as he blames his friend for all of his problems and lack of self-confidence.
