In the dance/mime, the villages enact the different experiences of the western photographer on his first visit to Ilujinle.

The dance of the Lost Traveller depicts the journey of the Western Photographer who visited Ilujinle with intentions to capture the beauty of the African village. From the breakdown of his car (four legged horse), him falling into the river upon being arrested by Sidi's beauty, and his meeting with Baroka, where he becomes so drunk that he vomits profusely. Lakunle takes part in the mime, pretending to be the photographer.
