What is ironic about Old Man Warner's remark about the village without a lottery being a pack of crazy fools?

This is ironic because Old man Warner is calling the village without a lottery crazy, when the only crazy fools are those participating in the lottery in his own village. Of course, we don't know what the winner of the lottery actually get at this point in the story, but we'll find out soon!
