The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock
The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock
What is the climax?
What is the climax?
I think it is generally agreed that the climax of this poem occurs in line 111 when Prufrock alludes to Shakespeare's Prince Hamlet. He uses this allusion to show his own inferiority, and his inability to declare his love. It is this inability and constant "thinking" that ebables both Hamlet and Prufrock impotent.
