Why does Jack Salmon have a problem with that Buckley wants to use Susie's clothes to stake his tomates ?

To put it simply, they were Susie's clothes. He didn't want to let go of her things, like they were a part of her. He didn't want her clothing boxed, or given away, or used as rags. He wanted to keep them to remember her. He wasn't ready to give up the things he had left.
