In the story, The Marrow Thieves, Miig acts like a father figure to Frenchie and the others. What do you think will happen to them if Miig were to leave them?

In my opinion, Miig is preparing the group for the day when he will not be there to guide them. His mentoring of frenchie is important to Miig for this exact reason.
