The book chapter 40

u didn't say the answer to this question "What might it suggest about why the boys are in the Glade?," So I have an answer. They found a bunch of kids who are immune to the virus. They discovered that their immunity is closely tied to a chemical in the brain that is produced by fear. They put the kids in a place designed to keep them in a perpetual state of fear, fear for survival, and fear for their safety, so they got sent there so thy can figure out the cure for the virus, why they were immune, and to cure everyone that has it.

WICKED

Source(s)

WICKED stands for world in catstrophe killzone experiment department. The boys are in the Glade because WICKED wanted to see what the difference was beteween immunes and non immunes and the maze was just ine of the trials. Also we can safely infer that world in catastrophe is because of the flare virus and killzone experiment departement mean WIcked is trying to find a cure for the Flare.(kinda redicioulous that they are killing more to find a cure because they started the Flare virus)
