The Monkey's Paw

Suspense is created when Mrs. White wishes for her son's return.... the knock at the door.... and the fear of the walking dead. We will never know who or what was knocking.... all we know is that whatever it is went away. Mr. and Mrs. White's struggle on the stairs make us anxious, and we're on pins and needles as she opens the door..... to nothing but a moonlit night.
