what conclusions can you draw about general Zaroff?

Zaroff is a character right out of escape fiction. He is unreal and, at best, entertaining. One might use words like eccentric, crazy, refined....but really people like Zaroff do not exist. The guy basically lives alone and hunts people all day. He comes across as an affable host but completely insane.
