There are actually five main events here....... First of all, we have conflict number one in which Rainsford has a discussion with Whitney about the perspectives of both hunters and their prey. Rainsford and Whitney have a discussion about hunting. Second, Rainsford falls overboard; third, he discovers Zaroff's chateau; fourth, he becomes the newest participant of Zaroff's game, albeit a protesting participant...... and fifth, Raisnford learns the meaning of fear as he beomes the prey rather than the hunter.
