What Methods Does Rainsford use to outwit Zaroff?

Rainsford sets three different traps over the course of the hunt to hinder his capture. The "Maylay man catcher, the Burmese tiger pit, and a trick using a tree spring. He scatters his tracks, hides in a tree, and jumps off a cliff into the ocean. Jumping off the cliff fooled Zaroff completely and was his undoing.
