What words would you use to describe Zaroff's character? Do you think people like Zaroff exist in real life?

Zaroff is a character right out of escape fiction. He is unreal and, at best, entertaining. One might use words like eccentric, crazy, refined....No people like Zaroff do not exist. The guy basically lives alone and hunts people all day.
