The Necklace
Did the Loisels chose the right course of action when they found the necklace was missing? What other choices were open to them? Why were these not chosen?

This question calls for your opinion. I likely would have faced up to the problem and admitted the loss of the necklace to M. Forestier. I wouldn't have like it.... but I would have done it. The Loisels might have made this choice as well. Had M. Loisel fessed up to the loss. Had the necklace been real, M. Forestier would likely have been angry and possibly demanded a replacement. As it stood, the necklace was worthless...... the Loisel's would have been embarrassed, but they wouldn't have been impoverished.
