Do you feel sorry for Madame Loisel? Why or why not and explain your reasons using evidence from the story.

In my opinion, Madama Loisel's character illicits no sympathy whatsoever. She is materialistic, nagging, spoiled, and completely unrealistic. Never satisfied, she always wants more, and the wanting leaves her in trouble. She assumes that other people have more, and she ts what they have. We learn this assumption is incorrect when she borrows a necklace that we latter learn is paste..... even someone who could afford it wouldn't spend an enormous amount of money for the real thing! The fact that she's too proud to admit her error leaves both she and her husband destitute. Sorry.... I can't muster up any pity for her. What do you think?
